The next in a chain. The next person on the list. Next on a line. All of these are popular expressions we use every day. In this blog, we'll examine these words and how you can use them correctly. You'll learn to apply them with confidence and take advantage of your next chance.
The next item on a list
Next in an item list is a simple function that will return the next element or the item of a listing. It takes a listing as your input. Next paginates this list through incrementing each index increment by 1. Every time a call is made to the next item iterator, it returns the following element or item from the list. If the iterator does not contain the next element or component, it returns 0.
The next installment in the series

Next person in line
Next to follow is an English word that refers the person who fills in for one who is taking a step down. The most common example is the eldest son of the prince. It could also be referring to anyone who is a successor to another. It also refers to the person who will be replacing the thing that is old-fashioned.
The line of succession is outlined in the Presidential Succession Act of 1947. But, if a vacancy occurs in the post, the person in line must be eligible. That means that if the candidate isn't a natural-born citizen and is not a natural born citizen, they will not be qualified to be considered for the position.
